Probably the best jazz tone I’ve heard from a Stratocaster.

One thought is that there are fewer and fewer opportunities to play in public. That may foster a tendency to “overdetermine” (😂lol, a college word!) the music. But 🤷‍♂️, For all I know the leader may be playing standard, song form jazz six nights a week.
